Frances (Ancona) Pambianchi, 95, of Ridgefield, wife of the late Otto Pambianchi, died on Tuesday morning, February 21, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at Danbury Hospital.
Mrs. Pambianchi was born in the Branchville section of Ridgefield on May 16, 1921, a daughter of Charles and Josephine (Infurchia) Ancona. She attended local schools and was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a fabulous cook and baker. Mrs. Pambianchi was also an avid gardener and enjoyed travelling with her late husband.
A lifelong Ridgefield resident, Mrs. Pambianchi was a member of the O.W.L.S. and of St. Mary Parish.
Mrs. Pambianchi is survived by two daughters, Rose Marie Pambianchi, of Ridgefield and Judy Skelly and her husband Joseph of New Fairfield; three grandchildren, Joseph, Ryan and Michael Skelly; two great grandchildren, Julia and Vivienne Skelly as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Pambianchi was predeceased by two brothers, Nazzareno Ancona and Phillip Ancona and by a sister, Phyllis Pancrazio.
Mrs. Pambianchi will be sorely missed and always remembered as a loving wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother and great grandmother. She filled our home with love and a sense of security and she poured that love into everything she did for her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:15 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield.
Interment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
There will be no calling hours.
