Neysa Jancz, 86, worked at RHS, traveled widely

Neysa (Ehrisman) Jancz, 86, of Ridgefield, wife of Michael W. Jancz; mother of Velya (James) Urban and Jordan (Valerie) Jancz; and grandmother of Michael Urban and Ehris Urban, died on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Laurel Ridge Health Care Center, Ridgefield.

Mrs. Jancz was born in Jersey City, NJ, September 19, 1926, daughter of Charles and Ann (McWilliams) Ehrisman.  She was raised and educated in Jersey City, NJ and at Western CT State University while being employed as a secretary in the Guidance Dept. of Ridgefield High School and tending to the needs of her husband and family.

A resident of Ridgefield since 1960 coming from Stamford, she was a member of the Ridgefield Lakes Association, Founders Hall and attended the Ridgebury Congregational Church, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Danbury.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles and traveled extensively throughout the world.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jancz was predeceased by a brother, Charles Ehrisman.

Private funeral services and burial will take place at the convenience of the family.

There will be no calling hours.

Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield is in charge of arrangements.
